Health and Safety

The PCBU will remain responsible for the inductions of their contractors, with Wofo assisting where possible through bookings, tracking, and internal messaging. This helps to ensure contractors arrive prepared for their induction. When possible, inductions and health and safety policies will be integrated into the Wofo.

Drug testing

WOFO can organize an independent, third-party to conduct tests as requested.

Personal Protective Equipment

WOFO contractors provide their own tools and PPE as part of their booking. The required PPE must be made clear at the time of booking to ensure contractors are aware of what to bring. In some circumstances, at their discretion, Wofo or the PCBU may choose i to provide PPE for a contractor.

Health and Safety plans:

Health and Safety is incredibly important in everything we do. If you have any specific requirements when it comes to health and safety, just let us know and we will do our utmost to accommodate them.

Liability and Responsibility

WOFO contractors work on multiple sites across the country for many different people. In all circumstances, it the sole responsibility of the Person Conducting the Business or Undertaking (the hirer) to ensure a safe working environment for their contractors. The clear lines of responsibility for the effective coordination of health and safety between the contractor and hirer are described in section 19 of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.

View the complete Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 here.

WOFO will immediately remove from our platform any contractor or principle who fails to meet their obligations under the Act.

Wofo carries Public Liability Insurance valued at $5,000,000 underwritten by AIG Insurance NZ.
